Peter Fäustle grew up in Milan, Italy, and studied electrical engineering and communications at Politecnico di Milano and Technische Universität München. He began his career 1994 at Eurocontrol for Siemens AG in Maastricht, Netherlands, where he developed software for air traffic management systems. After his change to Siemens Communications in 1997 he headed international software development teams as project leader and department manager. In 2007 a further change as product portfolio manager at Nokia Siemens Networks followed. Since 2008 Peter works for G+D Currency Technology, being responsible for systems engineering and testing in research and development (R&D) of banknote sorters.
